7. IMPLEMENTATION
Read the warnings before start-up.
Note: Do not start the pump until it has been filled with liquid and vented. If the pump runs dry, the pump
bearing and shaft seal may be damaged.
Pay attention to the direction of the venting hole and ensure that the exhaust water does not cause injury
to persons, the engine or other components. In hot water installation, special attention must be paid to
the risk of injury caused by boiling water.

For these pumps, it is advisable to open the by-pass valve during start-up. The bypass valve connects
the suction and discharge sides of the pump, thus facilitating the filling process. When operation is
stable, the bypass valve can be closed. When pumping liquids containing air, it is advisable to leave the
bypass valve open if the working pressure is below 6 bar. If the working pressure constantly exceeds 6
bar, the bypass valve should be closed.

Check the following procedures before starting the pump

Tighten the foundation screw.
•
Fill the pump with water.
•
Check that the voltage is correct.
•
Turn the motor to the desired position.
•
All pipes that are connected must be tightened under normal water supply.
