6. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The motor must be earthed.
Before removing the junction box cover and before removing / dismantling the pump, ensure that the
power supply is disconnected.
The single-phase motor incorporates a thermal protector, the three-phase motor must be connected to
a motor starter.
The electrical connection must be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with local regula-
tions.
The operating voltage and frequency are marked on the motor nameplate. Make sure that the motor is
suitable for the electricity supply in which it will be used.
Generally the junction box is mounted on the suction side of the pump.
The box can be rotated to four positions (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°):
1.
If necessary, remove the coupling guards, do not remove the coupling.
2.
Remove the screws securing the motor to the pump.
3.
Rotate the motor to the desired position.
4.
Replace and tighten the screws.
5.
Fit the coupling guards.
The electrical connection must be made as shown
in the diagram inside the terminal box cover.
