1. Install detachable rear-facing base (see pg 43).
2. Place car seat rear-
facing in back seat
of the vehicle with
detachable rear-
facing base installed.
Center the car seat on the
vehicle seat. The seat bottom
and feet of the rear-facing base
should sit flat on the vehicle seat
with no overhang.
3. Slide the vehicle seat belt
through the rear-facing belt
path and out the other side.
Buckle it. Confirm the seat
belt is flat and not twisted.
4. Tighten the belt strap,
A. LAP/SHOULDER BELT
Switch your vehicle seat belt to ALR mode (see
pg 26) Once the retractor is locked, press down
firmly in the center of the seat while pulling on the
shoulder belt nearest to the buckle. Keep tension
