AL2
The roll temperature has raised above the safety
limit. Put the machine in COOLING, and go on
ironing to ensure the integrity of the iron bands
until the temperature go below the alarm limit.
If the temperature tends to raise in any case,
ironing bands could burn. In this case, switch off
the machine and introduce some humid sheets
between the roll and the bands, making the roll
rotate manually, as per paragraph 17. This
operation
should
temperature drops below 80°C.
AL3
Temperature probe is broken: it is necessary to
replace it.
AL4 (only for drying flatwork ironers)
This alarm is only for the gas machine after the
third lighting attempt. When there is this alarm, the
temperature is above 80°C, the machine sets
automatically on COOLING. Otherwise, if roll
temperature is below 80°C, the machine will stop
automatically.
If this alarms appear frequently, call the technical
service.
AL5 (only for drying flatwork ironers)
This alarm is displayed on the drying ironer
machine when the motor thermic is open. When
this alarm is displayed, and the temperature is
above 80°C, the machine sets automatically on
COOLING. Otherwise, if roll temperature is below
80°C, the machine will stop automatically.
Please proceed with the motors cleaning and test.
Please check the inverter correct working.
AL6 (only for gas drying flatwork ironers)
Pressure fall with the gas supply. If the roller
temperature is superior of 80°C, the machine sets
automatically on COOLING. Otherwise, if roll
temperature is below 80°C, the machine will stop
automatically. Verify if the gas valve is open or the
pipe is leaking or obstructed.
In case of machine stop after few seconds of
operation (only for drying flatwork ironers), please
have the following points verified:
the fumes exhaust must be free
and efficient
the gas pressure must be sufficient
there must be no problems in the
gas ignition
motors must not be overheated
inverter must not be blocked.
12. HOURS COUNTER
During the machine work a hour counter is
increased and kept in memory between the work
session. To display the hour counter the
"TEMPERATURE" push button "+" and "-" have to
be
repeated
until
be pushed together just after the machine starting,
when the software version is displayed.
If the working hour number is below 999 the
information is directly displayed, if it is above 999
the hours are displayed as decimal fraction. After
that the hour counter has been displayed, stop
and restart the machine (with the general switch
or with the emergency button).
13. ADJUSTING TEMPERATURE SPEED
the
Both in the flatwork ironer and in the drying ironer,
speed can automatically change according to
temperature changes. The variation modify the
speed in a range of ±10% referring to the set
value. This is an optional function: if you wish to
have it, ask the technician to re-program the
microprocessor.
14. IRONER MAINTENANCE
Any ordinary or extraordinary maintenance must
be performed by qualfied staff. Please check that
all the connection are disconnected before
starting any operation. When linen don't slide
through easily (wrinkle or ruling on ironed linen)
proceed to the cleaning of the chest. To clean the
chest, introduce a thin linen folded one time and
containing inside some parafin powder, covering
the entire length of the roll. By ironing the folded
linen the parafin will melt and spread onto the
chest. If this operation is not enough, check if the
chest has solid residuals: in this case the ironer
must be disassembled and cleaned with brass
brush.
In case of long non working periods, wrap the
ironing roller with a strewed parafin powder sheet.
Check every six months the greasing of the
transmission chain.
Check every three months if the exhaust fan is
clean (for machines provided with it). Open the
left side panel, unscrew the screws of the scroll
and check if clean.
The replacement of sheet and thick flannel is
necessary when first burnings on the ironed linen
start showing. Remember that roll machine must
be used on its entire length, in order to avoid
burnings concentrated only on certain areas
(normally on the sides of the roller), and the
machine must be switched off only after the
temperature of the ironing plate has dropped
under 80°C.
The replacement of the roller steel wool cover
is necessary when the diameters, completed of
rollers and thick flannel, is below the following
references:
- 785 mm of circumference for ironers with 25 cm
of diametre
- 1005 mm of circumference for ironers with 33 cm
for diametre
Changing the steel wool cover, also replace the
sheet and the thick flannel. Remember to use the
