depressions on padding (usually on the middle of
the roller).
When completed the first part of the covering, with
the steel wool, optimal dimensions of the roll are:
- 795 mm of circumference for ironers with 25 cm
of diametre
- 1030 mm of circumference for ironers with 33
cm.
When completed the second part of the covering,
with padding and covering cloth, the optimal
dimensions of the roll are:
- 815 mm of circumference for ironers with 25 cm
of diametre
- 1050 mm of circumference for ironers with 33
cm.
For the flatwork ironers with the suction fan,
check each four months the clampings of the
screws in mechanic connection and of the
impeller of the shaft. In case of strange noises or
vibrations, stop immediately the machine and
make an accurate ispection of the mechanic
connections and the state of the impeller.
Replacement of shock absorbers is necessary
when the chest cannot anymore get close to the
roll while ironing or its pressure is not sufficient
anymore.
Leapfrogging of the movement. In case of
leapfrogging of the movement, the chest get
closer or further back to the roll in an
uncoordinated way. In this case open both the
side panels and check the position of the
movement: in case of leapfrogging of the
mechanism, disassemble it and put it back on its
position. The operation of the right side in its right
position must be like in the example above: above
with closed chest, underneath with open chest.
The operation of the left side in its right position
must be like in the example under: above with
closed chest, under with open chest.
Check also that the stops are functioning and in
their original position.
15. DRYING IRONER MAINTENANCE
Any ordinary or extraordinary maintenance must
be performed by qualfied staff. Please check that
all the connection are disconnected before
starting any operation.
Daily clean dust or tissue residuals that might be
left on the temperature probe support, in order to
make sure the good contact between the plate
and the surface of the ironing roll.
Daily clean in the same way also the lifting
blade. The task is very simple: it is enough to lift a
little each detacher, one by one, and clean them
from the powder deposit that could be present
between each detacher and the ironing roller.
Each month clean the humid air and exhausted
gas suction fan in order to take off al the
eventual deposits.
Grease all the moving mechanisms parts.
NOTE: the reducer of the motor is of the kind of
permanent lubrification, you do not need to grease
it.
Each three months clean the internal surface of
the ironing roller from dust residuals.
Each six moths test the bearings and, if
necessary, grease them.
To stretch the introduction bands operate on
the table of introduction. The table is fixed with
two socket head screws
To stretch the introduction bands, loosen the two
screws (see example above), change the position
of the introduction table (push it forwards) and
screw back the two screws. Take down the
introducing and collecting slides.
To replace the introduction bands take the old
ones off. To easy access, take off the chest cover.
Place the introduction bands between the pin of
separation underneath the introducing table.
Close the bands, with the nomex thread, above
the
Pinch one of the metal hooks at the end of the
band to avoid withdrawing of the nomex thread.
Remember to introduce the bands in the right
direction (nomex texture toward the outside and
cut at 45° downwards). Eventually stretch the
introduction bands
To stretch the nomex ironing bands open the
two side panels of the machine and screw the
