10. MAINTENANCE
ARDEA devices manufactured by Moretti S.p.A. Are CE marked and carefully checked before being
commercialised. For the safety of the patient, your device should be checked at least once every
year by the manufacturer or an authorised laboratory to verify its suitability for use. Use only
original spare parts and accessories for repairs and have the system checked by an electrician
afterwards.
10.1 Ordinary maintenance
•
Clean the controller and buttons
•
Clean the frame to prevent any build up of dirt and fluid
•
Check that the electrical connections are hooked up properly
•
Keep the wheels clean of dirt and residue of any kind
•
Lightly lubricate the wheel axles and springs every 3 months if necessary
•
Inspect the tyres. The tread should not wear more than 1.5 mm
•
Charge the batteries regularly
•
Check that the throttle works properly, and that it returns to centre when released. In case of
doubt, contact an authorised service centre
•
Check the cable covers for damage and wear. In case of doubt, contact an authorised service
centre
The reverse button is on the left handle next to the brake lever
and cruise control button (Fig.13). Set the button to "I" to enable
reverse drive, and return it to "O" to resume normal forwards
drive.
To adjust the height and angle of the handlebar, undo the
indicated bolts with a 5 mm Allen key.
