4. Use cooking tongs to add charcoal and/or wood to the charcoal grill. Be careful not to
generate any ash or sparks.
5. Wear oven mitts and carefully place the cooking grids on the fire.
6. Close the lid if required!
Cleaning and care
Warning!
Make sure that the barbecue has cooled down completely before cleaning it.
Ash
As soon as the charcoal has burned down, completely extinguished and cooled down, clean the
inside with an oven brush. Any remaining ash can be brushed into the ash tray. Remove and emp-
ty the ash drawer, but be sure to observe the following precautions.
• Do not remove any ash until all charcoal is completely burned out, extinguished and the grill has
cooled. cooled down.
• Never throw hot coals where they can be stepped on or pose a fire hazard.
• Never dispose of ashes or coals before they are completely extinguished. Do not store the
barbecue until the ash and coals are completely extinguished.
• Do not attempt to remove the ash tray while it contains hot coals or while grilling.
Corrosion
• If rust appears on the outside of the barbecue, clean and polish the affected area with steel wool
or sandpaper with a fine grain. Touching up can be done with a high temperature resistant paint
of good quality.
• Never apply paint to the inside surfaces. Rust spots on the inside can be polished, cleaned and
lightly coated with vegetable oil to minimise further rusting.
Appliance inside and outside
• Clean the appliance regularly, preferably after every cooking session.
• The appliance should be cleaned at least once a year.
• Do not confuse brown or black accumulations of fat and smoke with paint. The inside of the grill
is not painted at the factory (and should never be painted). Use a strong solution of detergent
and water or use an appliance cleaner with a scrub brush to clean the inside of the lid and the
underside of the appliance. Rinse and allow to dry completely in open air. Do not use corrosive
product / oven cleaner on painted surfaces.
• Cooking surfaces: If a brush is used to clean one of the cooking surfaces of the appliance, make
sure that no loose bristles remain on the cooking surfaces before grilling. It is not recommended
to clean cooking surfaces while the appliance is hot.
• Plastic surfaces: clean with warm soapy water and wipe dry. Do not use citrisol, abrasives,
degreasers or a concentrated appliance cleaner on plastic parts, as this could damage and/or
destroy the parts.
• Porcelain surfaces: Due to its glass-like composition, most residues can be wiped off with a
solution of baking soda/water or a specially formulated cleaner. Use non-abrasive powder
detergent for stubborn stains.
• Painted surfaces: Wash with a mild detergent or non-abrasive cleaner and warm soapy water.
Wipe dry with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
• Stainless steel surfaces: To maintain the high-quality appearance of your appliance, wash it with
a mild detergent and warm soapy water and wipe it dry with a soft cloth after each use.
Caked-on grease deposits may require the use of an abrasive plastic cleaning pad. Use only in
the direction of the brushed finish to avoid damage. Do not use an abrasive pad on areas with
graphics.
Waste disposal
This device must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. It must be returned to a designa-
ted collection point for recycling. In this way, you will contribute to the protection of resources and

Children should not play with plastic bags and packing material due to possible injury or suffocation
danger. Store such material safely or dispose of it in an environmentally sound manner.
