Important: Please read these operating instructions carefully and completely in order to become familiar with
the device. Please keep these operating instructions and pass them on to the next owner with the device.

1. Only use the device as described in these instructions.
2. ATTENTION: accessible parts can be very hot. Keep away from children.
3. This device is not intended to be used by persons (including children) who have limited physical, sensory or
mental abilities, lack experience and/or lack knowledge.
4. Never use a device which leak, is damaged or does not work properly.
5. In the event of damages, only have authorised specialists repair the device using original parts.
6. Do not alter the device.
7. If gas leaks from your device (identifiable by the smell of gas, bubbling during the leak test and/or hissing sound),
please take the device immediately outside to a place with good air circulation, without any ignition sources,
where you can search and repair the leak. Only check the tightness of your device outside. Never look for a leak
with an open flame; use a leak detection spray or soapy water. In the event of a leak, keep a close eye on the
device until the gas has fully escaped. If necessary contact the specialists.
8. Never punch holes into the Gourmet Blowtorch or throw it in the fire even if it is empty.
9. Handle the device with care. Avoid hard impacts or blows. Do not drop the device.
10. Never direct the flame on the face, body, clothes or flammable materials. The device has to be operated at a safe
distance from flammable substances. Keep a safe distance from flammable materials (e.g. kitchen roll).
11. Always make sure that the flame is fully extinguished after use.
12. Please remember that the length of the flame can be longer than it appears. The flame will be hardly visible in
certain light conditions.
13. Enable the safety lock after the use of the Gourmet Blowtorch. For this purpose, move the locking switch (5) to
"lock".
14. The device may only be operated in a well ventilated room. The national requirements are applicable:
• for the supply with combustion air and
• to avoid the accumulation of dangerous quantities of unburned gas.
15. Never expose the Gourmet Blowtorch to direct sunlight and avoid temperatures of more than 40°C.
16. Let the Gourmet Blowtorch fully cool down before putting it away.

• M ake sure that the blowtorch is switched off and the flame has gone out completely.
• R efilling of the Gourmet Blowtorch has to be carried out in a well ventilated room away from any ignition source and
other people. Smoking while refilling is not permitted.
• T he best work results can be achieved with a butane-propane mix Rofill Super 100, which is available in most well-
stocked DIY stores. Alternatively, you can also use commercial lighter gas (butane).
