- Check that the roller groove is consistent with the diameter of
the wire you wish to use.
- Unscrew the ring nut (18) from the spindle and insert the wire
spool.
Insert also the spool pin, insert the spool, reposition the ring
nut (18) and adjust the friction screw (19).
- Release the rolls lever of the wire feeder (20), sliding the end
of the wire into the wire guide bush and, passing it over the
roller, into the torch fitting. Lock the feed support in position,
checking that the wire has entered the roller groove.
- To load the wire onto the torch, press the wire feed push-
button.
- Connect the gas hose to the rear gas hose coupling.
- Adjust the gas flow from 5 to 20 l/min.
Welding polarity change
This device permits welding of any welding wire on the market
thanks to the easy selection of the welding polarity (direct or
reverse).
Reverse polarity: the power cable from the torch (21) must be
connected to the positive pole (+) (22) of the terminal strip. The
power cable from the earth socket (23) must be connected to
the negative pole (-) (24) of the terminal strip.
Direct polarity: the power cable from the torch (25) must be
connected to the negative pole (-) (26) of the terminal strip. The
power cable from the earth socket (27) must be connected to
the positive pole (+) (28) of the terminal strip.
Before shipment, the equipment is set for use with reverse
polarity!

3 SYSTEM PRESENTATION
3.1 General
The Genesis 2700 SMC are constant current inverter power
sources developed for electrode (MMA), Standard MIG/MAG.
They are fully digital multiprocessor systems (data processing on
DSP and communication over CAN-BUS), capable of meeting
the various requirements of the welding world in the best pos-
sible way.
