WARNING
This operation must be carried out with the engine
switched off but still warm.
ATTENTION
It is advisable to perform this operation while the
engine is warm, and therefore care should be taken
to avoid any possible burns.
A
To drain the oil from the engine:
- Remove the exhaust pipe
- Remove the bottom crankcase protector
using the 2 front screws and the 2 screws, 2 nuts
and 2 washers at the rear.
- Place a container under the engine.
- Remove the fi ller plug - dipstick
- Remove the drain plug bolt
- Wait a few minutes until all the oil has drained out.

- Refi t the drain plug bolt
- Refi ll with fresh oil.
- Refi t the fi ller plug-dipstick
- Refi t the bottom crankcase protector
- Refi t the exhaust pipe
Type of oil: SAE 10-40
Quantity of oil: 1.900 cc
Check the level while proceeding with the oil fi lling,
to make sure the maximum level is not exceeded.
WARNING
CHANGING THE ENGINE OIL FILTER requires te-
chnical knowledge and should therefore be done
by an Offi cial Sherco Service Centre.
