14) Finally, install the remaining glow plug or injector and connect the fuel
pump.
15) Check all disassembled connections once again for correct installation.
IMPORTANT: after the measurement, it may turn out that there is air in
the fuel system and some cars will require manual bleeding - this
operation should be performed by a qualified car mechanic.
In modern vehicles, deactivating the fuel pump can cause an error in the
self-diagnosis system (OBD) - the appearance of an indicator light or an
error message. This is normal and should disappear after reconnecting
the pump. If this does not happen, it may be necessary to connect the
vehicle to the diagnostic computer and manually reset the error.
16) After measuring and connecting everything back, the first engine start
may take a little longer than usual and this is normal as the pump has to
refill the entire system with fuel.
3.4.
Cleaning and maintenance
a)
Before each cleaning and when the device is not in use, disconnect the
pneumatic plug.
b)
Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning the surfaces.
c)
Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct
sunlight.
d)
Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
e)
Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning.
f)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. wire brush or metal spatula) for
cleaning as they may damage the surface of the product material.
