SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR THE SAFE OPERATION OF
THE JIGSAW
• When carrying out work where the tool may encounter concealed
electrical wires, hold the tool by the insulated surfaces of the
handle. Contact with the mains cable may cause a voltage to
appear on the metal parts of the power tool, which could result in
an electric shock.
• Keep your hands at a safe distance from the cutting range Do not
slide them under the workpiece There is a danger of injury when
coming into contact with the saw blade.
• When you have finished work, switch off the jigsaw The saw
blade can only be removed from the workpiece when it is
stationary.
• Use only undamaged blades that are in perfect condition. Bent,
unsharpened blades can break, can further affect the cutting line
and can also contribute to kickback.
• Dusts from certain types of wood, or certain types of metal, can
be hazardous to health and cause allergic reactions, respiratory
diseases or cancer

workpiece carefully before starting work.
• Do not cut material whose dimensions (thickness) exceed those
given in the technical data.
• Hold the jigsaw with your hand closed.
• Make sure that the jigsaw does not touch the material before
pressing the switch.
• Do not touch moving parts with your hand.
• Do not put the jigsaw down if it is still running. Do not switch on
the jigsaw before grasping it with your hand.
• Do not touch the blade or the workpiece immediately after
finishing work These parts can become very hot and may cause
burns.
• If you notice any abnormal behaviour or strange noises coming
from the power tool, immediately switch off and unplug the power
tool.
• To ensure proper cooling, the ventilation holes in the jigsaw
housing should be exposed.
PROPER BATTERY HANDLING AND OPERATION
• The battery charging process should be under the control of the
user.
• Avoid charging the battery at temperatures below 0ºC.
• Only charge the batteries with the charger recommended by the
manufacturer.
• When the battery is not in use, keep it away from metal objects
such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small
metal objects that can short-circuit the battery terminals.
• In the event of damage and/or improper use of the battery gases
may be released.
• Under extreme conditions, battery fluid may leak Leaking battery
fluid may cause irritation or burns If a leak is detected, proceed
as follows:

Carefully wipe off the liquid with a piece of cloth. Avoid
contact of the liquid with the skin or eyes.

if the liquid comes into contact with the skin, wash the affected
area immediately with copious amounts of clean water, or
neutralise the liquid with a mild acid such as lemon juice or
vinegar.
- If the liquid gets into the eyes, rinse them immediately with
plenty of clean water for at least 10 minutes and seek
medical advice.

BATTERY REPAIR
• Do not repair damaged batteries Repair of the battery is only
permitted by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre.
• Take the old battery to a recycling centre for this type of
hazardous waste
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CHARGER
• Do not expose the charger to moisture or water. The charger
should only be used indoors in dry rooms.
• Disconnect the charger from the mains supply before carrying out
any maintenance or cleaning.
• Do not use the charger on a flammable surface (e.g. paper,
textiles) or in the vicinity of flammable substances Due to the
temperature rise of the charger during the charging process there
is a danger of fire.
• Always check the condition of the charger, the cable and the plug
before use If damage is found, do not use the charger Do not
attempt to disassemble the charger. There is a risk of electric
shock or fire if the charger is incorrectly installed.
• Children and physically, emotionally or mentally handicapped
persons, and other persons whose experience or knowledge is
insufficient to operate the charger with all due care, should not
operate the charger without the supervision of a responsible
person. Otherwise there is a danger that the device may be
incorrectly operated and injuries may result.
• Unplug the charger from the mains when not in use
• Observe all charging instructions, do not charge the battery at
temperatures exceeding
