Before using the electrically power assisted cycle, in addition to verifying the state of charge and
correct installation of the battery, to allow an adequate start-up and ensure efficient and safe use
of the product, it is always appropriate to carefully check each part by carrying out the necessary
adjustment of the related mechanical components, directly or with the support of specialized
operators, see: adjustment and tightening of the saddle and seat post, adjustment and tightening
of the handlebar and handlebar stem, adjustment of brakes, adjustment of gearshift, chain and
gear lubrication, verification and adjustment of suspensions, wheel and tyre pressure verification,
general check of the correct tightening of the fixing screws, quick releases and through pins as
well as a general check that all the parts are in order.
SADDLE
The position on the bicycle is very important to ensure the optimal comfort when using the bike,
correct pedalling and to avoid any safety problems. For this reason it is important that the saddle
and its seat post are positioned and adjusted accordingly to the rider's physiognomy.
Generally speaking, the best way to adjust the height of the saddle is to check that when your foot
is placed on the pedal at its lowest point, your leg is almost completely extended.
To adjust the advance and inclination of the saddle it is necessary to loosen the relative fastening
system present in the seat post allowing to provide the desired position and subsequently reset
the correct tightening of the fastening system to avoid any play and movement.
HANDLEBAR
To adjust the angle of the handlebars, loosen the clamp on the stem, rotate the handlebars until
the desired position is reached and secure it by tightening the clamp until it can no longer be
moved.
BRAKES
The braking system installed on the product includes hydraulic disc brakes that can be activated
on the front wheel and on the rear wheel via the respective levers located on the handlebars.
The brake lever on the right side of the handlebar activates the rear brake and stops the rear
wheel whereas the brake lever on the left side of the handlebar activates the front brake and stops
the front wheel.
The front and rear brake levers must be adjusted according to the user's specific needs, located
and oriented in such a way to maximize ergonomics, favouring a natural position of the hand and
fingers used for its operation, minimizing the force and timing required to allow the enabling of
the braking and maintaining the possibility of having a good modulation.
The position of the brake levers can be customised by adjusting the relative collars on the
handlebars to the desired position.
As the progressive state of wear of the brake pads installed on the relative callipers reduce their
thickness, the corresponding brake levers will require a greater stroke to exert the same braking
force and will be automatically compensated by the valve system the braking system is equipped
with, thus guaranteeing the same braking efficiency until the pads are worn out and need to be
replaced.
