6. Install the Overflow Ell

Apply 100% silicone sealant to the overflow gasket.
Align the overflow ell with the bath outlet.
Position the tapered side of the grid flush against the bath outlet.
Handtighten the retainer onto the cylinder. Do not wrench-tighten at this time!
Verify that the overflow ell is in a vertical position. Adjust the overflow ell so the overflow ell is vertical.
Securely tighten the retainer with an adjustable wrench.
Wipe away any excess sealant.
Slotted Overflow Ell
Apply 100% silicone sealant to the overflow gasket.
Align the overflow ell with the bath outlet.
Attach the overflow ell to the bath with the mounting plate and the three screws.
Verify that the overflow ell is in a vertical position. Adjust the overflow ell so the overflow ell is vertical.
Securely tighten the three screws.
Wipe away any excess sealant.
