Before you recharge the battery, make sure the
battery has been used up (discharged)
completely.

Repeated charging while some capacity
remains causes a lowering of battery capacity.
However, the original battery capacity can be
recovered if you use the battery completely
and charge it fully again.
To use up the battery, remove the cassette and
turn the POWER switch to CAMERA with the
battery attached, and leave the camcorder until
the & indicator and the red lamp flash
rapidly in the viewfinder.
Removing the Battery Pack

Antes de recargar la baterfa, asegurese de que
la bateria esté completamente agotada
(descargada).
La carga repetida sin la bateria completamente
descargada hard que la capacidad de la misma
disminuya. Sin embargo, sera posible recuperar
la capacidad original de la baterfa si la vuelve a
utilizar y cargar por completo.
Para utilizar la bateria completamente, extraiga
el videocassette, gire el selector POWER hasta
CAMERA, y con la bateria fijada deje la
videocamara hasta que en el visor parpadeen
rapidamente el indicador SJ y la lampara roja.

Notes on charging the battery pack
¢ The POWER lamp will remain lit for a while
even if the battery pack is removed and the
mains lead is unplugged after charging the
battery pack. This is normal.
¢ If the POWER lamp does not light, set the
selector to VIR (DC OUT) and disconnect the
mains lead. After about one minute, reconnect
the mains lead and set the selector to CHARGE
again.
¢ You cannot operate the camcorder using the AC
power adaptor while charging the battery pack.
Notas sobre Ia carga de fa bateria
¢ Es normal que la lampara POWER permanezca
encendida durante un momento después de que
haya quitado la bateria y desconectado el cable
de alimentacién cuando finalice la carga.
¢ Sila lampara POWER no se enciende, ponga el
selector en VIR (DC OUT) y desconecte el cable
de alimentacién. Después de aproximadamente
un minuto, vuelva a conectar el cable y a poner
el selector en CHARGE.
* No podra operar la videocdmara empleando el
adaptador de alimentacién de CA mientras esté
