15. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Warning:
Before carrying out any operation ensure
that the electrical power is disconnected.
The fan coil units are provided with the fol-
lowing controls:
VMF-E0R for UL_R
VMF-E18R for UL_RI
In either case they are located on the right
hand side of the fan coil units (fig.01) and
protected by a plastic box. The connections
have to be made directly onto the electronic
circuit board.
Attention:
The wiring schematic showing terminal
connections for the electronic circuit
board are printed on the inside of the plas-
tic box cover. (fig.02)
The unit must be connected directly to an
electrical connection or an independent
circuit.
The fan coil units Omnia UL_R and UL_RI are
supplied with 230V/1/50Hz and earth con-
nection. The line voltage must remain within
the tolerance of ±10% of nominal values.
The power supply cable must be of type H07
V-K or N07 V-K with insulation of 450/750V
if protected by a conduit or tubing. For
exposed cables use double insulated cables
of type H5VV-F.
All cables must be protected by a conduit
or tubing until they are inside the fan coil
unit. The cables exiting the conduit or tubing
must be positioned so they are not subjected
to tension or twisting and must be protected
from external effects.
Wiring diagrams are subject to continual
updates so it is mandatory to refer to those
on the unit.
For all connections refer to the wiring dia-
grams supplied with the unit and shown in
this documentation.

All electrical works must be carried out by PERSONNEL WITH THE APPROPRIATE LEGAL QUALIFICA-
TIONS, trained and aware of the risks relating to such works.
The design of the cabling and related components must be carried out by PERSONNEL WITH AP-
PROPRIATE QUALIFICATIONS TO DESIGN ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS, following international and
national standards of the location the unit is installed in accordance with current legal requirements.
For installation details refer to the electrical wiring schematics supplied with the unit. The electrical
wiring schematic together with the manuals must be conserved with care and MADE AVAILABLE
FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
The seals of the equipment must be checked before making electrical connections and the unit
must only be powered on completion of all electrical and hydraulic works.
