CAUTION!
The accomplishments concerning occupational safety and health regulations indicated by the current laws (Di-
rective 89/391/EEC, Directive 2009/104/EC as well as the specific directives in force pursuant to article 16 of
Dir.89/391/EEC – Transposed in Italy with Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments): have to be
carried out by the end-user and/or by the employer: supplying the adequate personal protective equipment, in-
forming about working risks, health surveillance, etc....
CAUTION!
The over-exposure to vibrations may cause neurovascular lesions to people suffering from circulatory disorders.
In case of symptoms which could be referred to over-exposure, contact a specialist. These symptoms can be
numbness, loss of sensitivity, sharp pains, itching, reduced or loss of strength, discoloration of the complexion
or structural modifications of its surface. This usually happens to one's hands, wrists and fingers.

CAUTION!
The Employer and/or end user shall be responsible for assessing the noise risks according to the national legal
provisions in force in the workplace (In Italy: Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments and addi-
tions to Title VII, chapter II).
2.2
Use
•
Wear protective goggles or a face shield, safety shoes, anti-vibration gloves and ear muffs.
•
Get into a stable and safe work position.
•
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. "Product description". Any other use may cause injuries.
•
Do not expose the tool to rain. Keep it in a dry place.
•
Do not carry the tool by the power cable.
•
It is recommended have the same person use the equipment for a short time throughout the day, alternating opera-
tors with one hour's work and one hour's rest. Prolonged use can cause severe operator fatigue.
•
When the tool is not being used for harvesting, switch it off (ON-OFF switch - OFF position).
2.3
Maintenance
CAUTION!
Before performing any maintenance operations or mechanical adjustments on the tool, wear heavy-duty work
shoes, protective gloves and goggles.
•
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual
qualifications.
•
Special maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by a qualified mechanic.
•
Keep bystanders away when servicing or repairing the tool.
