BLADE/FLANGE INSTALLATION:
Mount fan blade flange to the decorative bottom surface
of
the
fan
blade
(as
#10-24 x .0.4" flange head blade screws using a Phillips
head screwdriver (Figure 11).
Repeat this procedure for the remaining four flanges and
blades.
NOTE: Be sure the plain side of the ceiling fan blade

Place the blade/flange assembly onto the motor hub.
Rotate the switch plate viewing window to view the captive
flange screws.
Loosely attach the blade/flange assemblies to the motor
hub by securing the two captive flange screws
(Figure 12).
Make sure the screws are NOT tightened (Figure 12).
Careful not to bend the blades while positioning the fan for
final assembly.
A spare 1/4"-20 x .50" pan head shoulder flange captive
screw is supplied in the parts bag, if needed.
3.13
The blade flanges have an interlocking feature that must
be fully engaged before tightening the screw. Make sure all
the flanges are properly engaged and then tighten the
flange screws. If one of the flanges does not seat properly
on the motor hub, loosen the adjacent flange screws, re-
engage and reseat the flanges, then tighten the screws
again (Figure 13).
This completes the blade installation.
WARNING
!
To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend the
blade assemblies when installing, balancing the blades
or cleaning the fan. Do not insert foreign objects in
between rotating fan blades.
