3.3 Safety conditions for operation
In the event of a problem:
- Release the bar movement control.
- Press the clutch pedal, disengage the power take-off.
Mark out a safety zone in the underrun bar movement zone.
In urban areas, signpost your worksite using the regulatory warning signs.
4) Maintenance
• Maintenance operations must be performed by qualified and accredited personnel. The standard
practices of each specialised trade (mechanics, hydraulics, electricity and pneumatics) must be respected.
•
Check the tightening torque of screws after 1000 and 2000 km of road use. Re-tighten to the
specified torque (see Table 1) if necessary.
•
As part of routine servicing of the vehicle, periodically check the tightening torque of the mounting
screws.
•
Ensure that the electric cables and hydraulic pipes are in good condition for use of the underrun bar
(replace them if they are damaged or show signs of advanced ageing).
•
Lubricate joints.
