1. Placethe unit on a firm, level surface.
2. Removethe Left Side Service Cover.
3. Removethe oil fill cap located on the bottom of the engine
crankcase.
4. Add the recommendedengine oil slowly, stopping frequently
to check the level. The full level is the base of the threads in
the filler neck. DO NOTOVERFILL!
5. Replacethe oil fill cap and tighten.
6. Always check the oil level before starting the generator
engine.
ACAUTION!
DO NOT overfill the engine crankcase
with
oil. High oil pressure
may result, causing
premature
engine
wear and damage.

2. Add fuel slowly, stopping about two (2) inches below the top
of the filler neck.
3. Replacethe fuel tank cap. Makesure the valve on the fuel cap
is in the "OFF"position.
4. If the generator is going to be started, refer to the section
"STARTINGTHE GENERATOR" for additional directions on
priming the fuel system.
ADDING ENGINE OIL
All oil should meet minimum American Petroleum Institute (API)
Service Class SJ, SL or better. Do not use any aftermarket
additives.
Selectthe oil'sviscosity grade accordingto the expectedoperating
temperature, only a little more than one-halfquart is needed.
* Above40° F,use SAE30
* Below 40° Fto 10° F, use 10W-30
* Below 10° F,use synthetic 5W-30
