After selecting a gel battery, for example, the end-
of-charge voltage can be reduced in the gassing
voltage row using the right/left arrows (here: 13.8
Volts). The menu can be exited using the right arrow
at the far right edge. Before the menu is exited, you
will be asked, as usual, whether the setting should
be saved, and can answer using the "Yes/No"
buttons.
In this example, the selected gel battery was saved
with an end-of-charge voltage of 13.8 volts. This is
also shown accordingly in the display that illustrates
the readiness for charging.

3.9.3 Desulphation programme
For wet-cell batteries, you can choose a desulpha-
tion programme that charges using a small current
for 21 hours up to the end-of-charge voltage of 15
volts. This allows slight sulphate formation
to be reduced again.
The desulphation programme can be switched on
and off again using the "ON/OFF" buttons. This only
works if the "Wet" battery type has been selected;
the row is locked for other types.

After it is switched on, you can leave the menu again by
pressing the right arrow button at the far right edge and
return to "Charge mode" by answering "Yes" to "Save?".
The charging parameters for the desulphation pro-
gramme will now be displayed and the battery will
be charged at 1.5 A for 21 hours. In the process,
the voltage will then rise to a maximum of 15 volts.
The Ampere hours charged and the remaining time
will also be displayed.
