ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
! NOTICE
Before putting the chainsaw into operation, check
whether it is in operationally reliable condition. If
you have any doubts, do not start the machine! Pay
attention mainly to these points um:
• Chain brake functionality
• Correctly mounted guide bar
• Correct saw chain tension
• Easy operation of all switches
• Securely mounted spark plug plug. If the plug is
loose, sparks may occur and the resulting fuel-air
mixture may ignite.
• Ensure that the handles are clean so that the chain-
saw can be guided safely.
• Filling the fuel tank with the correct fuel mixture •
Filling the oil tank with lubricating oil for chain lubri-
cation.
WARNING! ALWAYS turn off the engine before main-
tenance or adjustment! Always wear protective gloves
when assembling the chain to protect your hands
from cuts!
Assembly of guide rail and chain
! WARNING: Always wear strong protective gloves
when handling the saw chain or when adjusting its
tension.
Loosen the nuts of the side cover (18).
Now remove the chain and chain bar from the pac-
kage.
Insert the chain bar through the longitudinal hole into
both guide pins.
Insert the chain into the circular sprocket (wear pro-
tective gloves when handling the saw chain to prevent
injury). Make sure that the chain engages exactly in
the circular sprocket. Pay attention to the direction
of rotation. Thread the saw chain carefully onto the
chain bar. Pay attention to the correct direction of
chain deployment - see fig.
The side cover can now be put back on. Make sure
that the chain brake lever is always in the front positi-
on before mounting the cover (released brake band)
In reverse or the cover cannot be mounted in the
tensioned position. After mounting the side cover, the
clamping nuts of the chain bar are only tightened by
hand so that the chain can be tensioned further.
Adjusting the saw chain tension
The chain is now tensioned by means of the tensio-
ning screw (3) (turning it clockwise) so that it is tensi-
oned and guided in the rail of the chain bar and yet it
can be moved freely forwards and backwards
Now tighten the two clamping nuts (18) firmly.
