7. OPERATION
1. Precautions for safe use
To safely utilize the full potential of this pump, you need a complete understanding of its
operation and a certain amount of practice with its controls.
Before operating the pump for the first time, please review the "Safety Instruction" and the
"PRE-OPERATION INSPECTION" .
Exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas that can build up to dangerous levels in
closed areas. Breathing carbon monoxide can cause unconsciousness or death.
2. Pump Placement
To get the most out of your pump, place
it level near the water and use a hose
that is no longer than necessary. This will
allow the pump to generate high power
output with minimal self-priming time.

As head height increases, pumping will decrease. The length, type and section of the suction
and discharge hoses can also significantly affect pumping. To minimize this effect of the suction
head (place the pump at water level and close by), which will also reduce the self-priming time.
3. Installing the suction hose
Tighten the clamp so that the hose is firm and does not move. The hose must have more
section than the suction mouth. The minimum section of the hoses will be the following:
1" for 25mm water pumps
2" for 40mm water pumps
3" for 50mm water pumps
