Use a hose clamp to securely fasten the hose connector to the suction in order to prevent
air and water leakage. Check to ensure that the hose connector sealing washer is in a good
condition. Install the strainer (provided with the pump) on the other end of the suction hose and
secure it with a hose clamp. The strainer will help prevent the pump from becoming clogged or
damaged by debris.
4. Discharge Hose Installation
Tighten the clamp so that the discharge hose is firm
and does not move.
It is best to use a shorter, larger section hose as it
will reduce fluid friction and improve output pumping.
Tighten the hose clamp well to prevent it from
disengaging under the high pressure generated.

5. Priming The Pump
Before starting the engine, be sure to fill
the pump with water. Unscrew the prime
plug and prime the pump with clean water.
Replace prime plug and tighten securely.
Do not unscrew this cap while the pump is
running to avoid damaging the equipment
or injuring others.
1. Cover to prime with water
NOTE: You will damage the pump gasket if you run it dry.
If you accidentally start the pump dry, stop the engine immediately and allow it to
cool before priming.
