If not all working loads reach the maximum permitted values, one of
these loads may exceed the normal limit value under the condition
that following additional conditions are fulfilled:
• All force and torque components must be limited to 1.4 times of the
maximum permitted value.
• The following equation applies to the actual forces and torques acting
on every flange (the following condition must be fulfilled):

Where the total load ∑ F and ∑ M is the arithmetic total of every
flange (inlet and outlet), for the actual as well as the maximum per-
mitted values, without taking into consideration their algebraic sign,
at the pump level (inlet flange + outlet flange).
