12. Never place cooking utensils, pizza or baking stones, or any type of foil or liner on the oven floor.
These items can trap heat or melt, resulting in damage to the product and risk of shock, smoke or fire.
13. Place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. If the rack must be moved while the oven is hot, be careful to
avoid touching hot surfaces.
14. Never broil with the door open. Open-door broiling is not advised due to overheating of control knobs.
15. Do not use the oven for storage purposes. Do not leave paper products, cooking utensils, or food in the oven when
not being used.
16. Do not store items of interest to children in cabinets above an oven. Children who climb onto the oven to reach items
could be seriously injured.

Proper equipment and adequate manpower are needed when moving the appliance to avoid
personal injury or damage to the unit or the floor. Failure to follow this advice may result in
damage or personal injury.
Never pour cold water to hot surfaces in a hot oven. The steam created could cause serious
burns or scalding and the sudden change in temperature can damage the enamel in the
oven.
Cook food thoroughly using a food thermometer to check temperatures in multiple locations
for protection against foodborne illness.

It is important to avoid storing or using flammable materials in an oven, such as paper, plastic,
pot holders, linens, wall coverings, curtains, drapes, gasoline or any other flammable vapors
and liquids. Loose-fitting or hanging garments should also be avoided while using the appli-
ance, as they may catch fire if they come into contact with hot surfaces, causing serious burns.
