Please note that the sharp edges represent a not inconsiderable
-
risk of injury.
Never slow down the chuck by hand!

Mounting on the lathe:
Flange
Centering device
Fig. 1
To screw in, please turn the chuck on the spindle flange until you find the
matching threaded holes in the spindle flange for the three to four (de-
pending on type of chuck) included fastening screws, which are inserted
from the front through the screw holes of the chuck. Then tighten all
screws evenly.
General information for correct clamping:
The clamped work pieces may not be too long! For long work piec-
-
es, please additionally support the front end with a steady or the
travelling centre.
Select the largest possible clamping length of the work piece in the
-
jaws.
The ideal machining range should be close to the chuck! This pro-
-
duces the least amount of distortions from the machining forces.

Mounting the chuck is principally very
Chuck
easy:
As shown in Fig. 1, the chuck is placed on
the centring collar on the flange of the
lathe spindle and is screwed on with the
included fastening screws (Allen screws).
When mounting, please make sure in any
case that the centring collar (see diagram)
is seated correctly and is not misaligned
in the cut-out of the chuck! Make certain
the surfaces are clean!
Soiling or misalignment while tightening
the screws could cause damage to the
centring or distort the chuck!
