PRE-INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT:
Initially you will need to install the hood motor. To do so, it is
necessary to consult the installation manual included in the kit
purchased with the platform.
INSTALLATION FOR IN-LINE AND EXTERNAL KITS

Place the hood face up on a flat surface.

Open the hood cover, pull outward.(ECEX40SS: 1 cover,
ECEX60SS: 2 covers)

Remove the grease filters from the hood by pressing the
retaining clip to release them. (ECEX40SS: 3 filters, ECEX60SS:
4 filters)

Remove the 2 screws from the plate on the right side of the
hood to gain access to the junction box.

Remove the knockout next to the motor cable and feed the kit's
wiring harness through that hole from the inside out.

Then remove the knockout at the bottom to pass the cable to
the rear junction box.

You must feed the other end of the cable through that strain and
relief and hole into the junction box.

Close the junction box cover.

Splice the wires from the harness in place and the kit wires
coming through the conduit into the rear junction box.
10 Connect the bell motor cable to the harness that was placed
inside the bell.
11 Close the junction box cover and proceed with the installation of
the kit (See installation manual of the corresponding kit).
INTERNAL MOTOR INSTALLATION (KIT)
Installation of the internal motor (not included):

Remove from the inside of the hood, the 8 screws holding the
box.

Between 2 or more people, remove the hood from the box and
set it aside.

Determine which air outlet will be used, there are different
possibilities according to the type of motor:
Outlets for single motor
(600 CFM):
A, B, C, D o E.
Outlets for dual engine
(1200 CFM):
A, B, o D

Once the location is determined, position the motor and
between 2 people screw the motor to the box, with 4 screws (6 x
16m), placing the motor connector towards the opposite side of the
installation.

Reposition the hood and screw to fix the box.

Connect the motor cable to the hood cable.

Put the grease filters in place and close the perimeter plate.

The wires are connected as follows:
•
Black wire to black wire
•
Gray wire to gray wire
•
Blue wire to blue wire
•
Red wire to red wire
•
White wire to white wire
