Changing the frequency
To change frequency, it is necessary to
change the motor pulley which is secured
to the motor shaft by a screw. For access
to the motor pulley the platter must be
removed.
O
Fig. 4
Extreme care is necessary when changing
the motor pulley, as a bent motor pulley
will cause rumble.
Part numbers for motor pulleys:
50 Hz: 220 418
60 Hz: 220 419
Removing the platter
The platter is supported by means of a
spring disc secured by a nut that sits
on the platter cover. To remove the plat-
ter, first remove the platter cover, then
the spring clip can be removed.
Important: When handling the platter
avoid touching the inner surfaces
with your
fingers as skin oils can cause slippage
(and resulting pitch deviation) between the
idler wheel and the driving rim of the
platter.

Operating instructions
After connecting the power supply, turn
the unit on by turning the line switch to
the right. The pilot light will then glow.
With the push button set next the neces-
sary turntable speed on 33 or 45 rpm.
Now place the record — with this unit all
microgroove and stereo records can be
played — on the turntable platter and re-
lease the tonearm.
The Dual is now ready for play.
1. Operation
The movement of the tonearm toward the
record will start the platter rotating.
To lower down over the lead-in groove
or the desired position on the record,
a light touch on the cueing lever is all
that's necessary and will bring it to the
position
Y . By this means the cueing
contro! will lower and the needle sets
down perfect with absolute accuracy on
the record.
The height of the stylus over the record
in position Y can be varied over a 1⁄4"
range by turning adjustment screw ®.

3. To resume play

touch is all that's necessary.)
