A cleaning of the case, inner chamber, rotor and adapters must be done regularly to avoid
accumulation of residues that cause damage or corrosion of the different components.
Do not use organic solvents that could remove the lubrication of the
gears and bearings of the motor.
Steam sterilization
In chart 2, the life time period of different centrifugation tubes is shown in relation to the
number of sterilization cycles and use. If any damage is detected on rotor, adapters or
centrifugation tubes, replace immediately.

6.2 Maintenance
-
During installation always handle the rotor carefully avoiding hits or knocks; small
damages in the rotor could cause breakage during centrifugation.
-
Check the rotor and adapters regularly to detect possible defects, damages, breaks or
knocks; if any damage is detected replace the component immediately.
To remove the rotor, hold it firmly and lift it vertically. Avoid sudden
movements.
-
Under normal circumstances the rotor should be cleaned once a week; in case of using
salts or corrosive substances containing samples, cleaning should be made after each
use as well as in case of spillages or splashes of the centrifuged solutions.
-
For cleaning the rotor use neutral detergents or a sponge or soft cloth and then wipe with
