• Hold the handlebars firmly as the machine tends to jump when shifting into gear.
• Do not operate the machine with the handle in the tractor position and the cutter bar, brush
cutter, snow blower or other front implements mounted.
• Do not use quick connects or other possible extensions with the rotary hoe as they could
bring the rotary hoe closer to the operator's feet and therefore not comply with the safety
regulations pr EN 709, 1992.
• Only one operator should use the machine, keep potential observers away.
• If the machine and/or related implements have to be lifted, we advise the user to place them
on pallets, tie them and lift them using forklifts.
For your safety. Operator Responsibility
• Wear sturdy shoes that cover your entire foot. Do not operate the machine barefoot or in
open sandals.
• Dress sensibly. Loose clothing can become caught in moving parts, increasing the risk of
injury. Always wear long pants to avoid damage to your legs.
• Be alert, using the machine when you are tired or when under the influence of alcohol or
drugs can cause serious injury.
• Keep people and pets away from the area to be tilled.
• Check that the resistance bar is in place and correctly adjusted.
• Use safety gloves and hearing protection.
Safety with children
• Avoid using the machine when people are nearby, especially children or pets. Remember that
the operator is responsible for accidents to people or their property. Never allow children or
unqualified persons to use the machine.
• Never assume that children will be where you last saw them. Be alert and turn off the
machine if you see a child entering the work area.
• Do not allow any child to use the machine even under adult supervision.
Danger from thrown objects
• Objects struck by the rotating blades can be thrown with great force and cause serious injury.
• Before tilling, clear the area of sticks, stones, wires, glass, etc.
• Till only in daylight.
• Pieces thrown from a worn blade can cause serious injury. Always inspect the condition of
the blades before using the machine.
Risk of injury
• Never put your feet or hands near the moving implements of the machine.
• The rotating elements are sharp and rotate at high speed. Accidental contact can cause
serious injury.
• Keep hands and feet away from these items while the engine is running.
• Stop the engine and disengage before inspecting or performing any maintenance on the
blades.
• Disconnect the spark plug cap to prevent accidental starting. Wear thick gloves to protect
your hands from blades when cleaning, inspecting, or replacing blades.
• Never use the machine if the protections or safety devices are defective.
