PRECAUTIONS
Power sources
This unit operates on the following power sources:
e Three LR6 (size AA) alkaline batteries
e Supplied rechargeable battery LIP-12
e AC house current with the supplied AC adaptor
On placement
Avoid placing the unit in the following places.
e Under direct sunlight or near a source of heat
such as a heater. Never leave the unit in a closed
automobile, or on the dashboard or parce! shelf.
Excessive heat may deform the cabinet or cause
malfunctioning.
e Where it is very dusty or sandy.
e In wet or humid areas, such as a bathroom.
e Near sources of strong magnetism, such as
televisions, speakers or magnets.
For safety
e Do not attempt to disassemble this unit.
e Make sure that pins or other foreign objects do
not get inside the unit; they may cause
malfunctioning, or a safety hazard such as
electrical shock.
e Take care not to drop the unit or subject it to
strong shocks, which may cause maifunctioning.
e¢ Asmall amount of electric current flows even if
you are not operating the unit as long as the AC
adaptor is plugged into a wall outlet. Disconnect
the AC adaptor if you are not going to use it for
a long time.
When listening through headphones
e For greater safety, do not use headphones while
driving or cycling.
e Keep volume leveis low to protect your ears.
e When using in a public place, keep volume
levels low to avoid disturbing others nearby.
