3 Data transfer
3.1 RS-232-C Interfaces

The AVS 470 has an RS-232-C interface. This interface is used for documentation in connection with
the optional data printer e.g. Z 910.
3.2 Interface configuration
All transmission parameters are firmly set to the following default values:

Data bits:
It is essential to set the printer to the same parameter settings. The optional Z 910 printer from

SI Analytics is ex-works set to these parameters.
The other possible settings include:

4800
9600
i.e. the baud rate applicable to the respective parameter sets can be set independently (see 
section 4.6, figures 27 and 28).
