For optimal performance and sensitivity, set to maximum. Gradually reduce until filter reacts only to the welding flash. Pay
attention to ambient light conditions such as direct sun or intense artificial light.
Adjust sensitivity with HI (high) or LO (low) using infinitely adjustable knob on the back of the welder's mask.

MID-HIGH (medium) standard setting for normal everyday work.
Maximum sensitivity suitable for simple welding current work, TIG welding, or other work.
In case of disturbances due to excessive ambient light, use LO setting.

Select shorter delay for spot welding. Select longer delay for TIG, MIG, and MAG welding.
1. Viewing window automatically changes from dark back to light when the welding is finished.

2. Bright afterglow can be offset with preset delay.
3. Select "S" for short (0.1 s) or "L" for long (1 s).
4. Adjust setting with infinitely adjustable knob.

1. Turn rotary knob to "GRIND" position.
▶ Automatic darkening switched off, clear view for grinding is enabled.
2. Before starting welding work, ensure that auto-darkening filter has returned to welding mode.

5.5.
ADJUST FIT
5.5.1.
Welder's mask

Adjust welder's mask so that it fits tightly on your head, but not too tightly (Y).
1. Adjust overall circumference by turning the knob on the back of the headband.

▶ Adjustment can be made while wearing.
2. If the headband is too high or too low on your head, adjust strap on the top of your head.
3. Remove locking piece from hole in the headband.

4. Adjust to greater or lesser width and re-lock strap via nearest hole (W).
5. Check fit of the headband by lifting and putting on the welder's mask several times.

▶ Readjust headband if it slips when tilted.

Distance between welder's mask and face

1. Loosen block nut (T in illustration).
▶ Adjust distance between welder's mask and face in lower position.

2. Loosen block nut on both sides of welder's mask.
3. Position long side of the welder's mask closer to or further away from your face (Z in illustration).
