Qualifications of personnel

Serious injuries and damage to property may occur
as a result.
The electrical installation must be executed by per-
sonnel with the relevant knowledge and experience
in electrical equipment (qualified electrician). These
persons must be able to provide proof of the required
specialist knowledge for the installation of electrical
systems and their components by passing an exami-
nation. Improper installation poses a risk to the life of
the installer and of the users of the electrical system.
Improper installations pose a risk of serious property
damage, e.g. from fire. Depending on the legal situa-
tion you may be personally liable in case of personal
injury and property damage.
Requirements for the qualified electrician:

Ability to recognise risks and to avoid potential
electricity hazards based on training and experi-
ence
–
Professional qualifications enabling the electri-
cian to work on electrical equipment
–
Ability to select suitable tools, measuring devi-
ces and personal protective equipment if neces-
sary
–
Ability to evaluate measurement results
–
Ability to select suitable materials for the electri-
cal installation to ensure the cut-off conditions
–
Knowledge of the different types of IP-protec-
tion
–
Knowledge about how to install the electrical
installation material
–
Knowledge about the type of power supply net-
work (TN, IT and TT system) and the result-
ing connection conditions (neutral connected to
earth in socket, protective earth, any additional
measures that may be required, etc.)
–
Knowledge of general and specific safety and ac-
cident prevention regulations and fire protection
measures
–
Knowledge of the electrical/electronic regula-
tions and standards and national regulations
