next welding. The set points are saved to memory after 10 sec
with no further changes. With enabled buzzer (see Sect. 4.2),
the buzzer indicates this by an audible signal.
4.2 Setting the Default Configuration of the Machine
The Configuration Menu is accessible by pressing the MENU key when
Display 2 is showing on the screen. Opening the menu requires the
input of an access code, which is disclosed to authorized personnel with
the operating company. The menu first shows a possible selection of
"Settings," "Recording," and "Sensor Parameters" (see Display 3).
At "Settings" the settings for the machine itself and its operation can
be defined. At "Recording" it is possible to enable or disable the trace-
ability data that should be recorded or not recorded for the welding
reports. Setting the sensor parameters is not needed as part of the
daily routines. This item is additionally protected by a further access
code that will be disclosed to authorized staff with the operating
company only. To select what you need, use the ñ and ò arrow keys.
To open the desired sub-menu, press the MENU key.
In all parts of the Configuration Menu, use the ñ and ò arrow keys
to select the desired set-up option. Use the ð arrow key to toggle
between "on" and "off" for that set-up option.
If a "M" is shown next to a set-up option, this indicates that a sub-
menu is accessible here by pressing the MENU key.
Press the START/SET key to confirm the set-up and save it to
memory.
