Use the arrow keys ñ and ò to select one of the options, "Deutsch,"
"English," "Français," etc. and confirmby pressing the START/SET
key.

4.3.2 Setting the Clock

When the "Date/Time" sub-menu was selected, the screen changes
and the display reproduced in Display 7 appears.
The time of day and the date can be set using the keypad. The portions
"Hour," "Minute," "Day," "Month," and "Year" are set separately.
Press the START/SET key to confirm your settings.

4.3.3 Setting the Buzzer Volume

When the "Buzzer Volume" sub-menu was selected, the screen changes
and Display 8 appears. The buzzer can also be heard. Turn the buzzer
volume up or down to the desired value using the , ð arrow keys
(from 5 to 100) and confirm your setting by pressing the START/SET
key.
4.4

Understanding the "Recording" Sub-menu

"Welder ID Code Options – M – " means that by pressing the MENU
key, the user can access a sub-menu that allows determining when
the welder code has to be entered: before evey single welding
operation, only on powering the unit up, only once a day, i. e., at
the first welding operation of a new day/date, or never queried
at all.
"Commission Number on" means that the commission number (job
number) will have to be entered or confirmed before every new
welding, "off" that the user is not prompted to enter it.
"Additional Data 1 on" means that the first user-defined information
on the welding process can be entered or confirmed before every
new welding, "off" that the user is not prompted to enter it.
"Additional Data 2 on" means that the second user-defined informa-
tion on the welding process can be entered or confirmed before
every new welding, "off" that the user is not prompted to enter
it.
"Installing Company on" means that the company that performs the
welding operation can be entered or confirmed before every new
welding, "off" that the user is not prompted to enter it.
"Recording Options – M – " means that by pressing the MENU key,
the user can access a sub-menu that allows defining the interval
of recording welding progress and welding parameters during the
welding operation and whether this interval is defined by time
(every x sec) or by advance (every x metres). This menu option is
protected by a further access code that will be disclosed to au-
thorized staff with the operating company only.
4.5
Adjusting the Welding Wedge and the Contour Rollers for
the Welding Operation
Proper foil jointing can only be achieved if the position of the
welding wedge and of the contour rollers above and below
it matches the thickness of the foil. This is why the position

of both the wedge and the contour rollers has to be adjusted
whenever new foils of another thickness are used.
To adjust the welding wedge and the contour roller position, place
two plastic foils exhibiting the thickness of those that are going to be
welded above and below the wedge, just as the position of the actual
