General safety instructions
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool. Do
not use a power tool while you are tired or un-
der the influence of drugs, alcohol or medica-
tion. A moment of inattention while operating power
tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) National regulations may restrict the use of the
product.
c) Take regular breaks and move your hands to pro-
mote circulation.
d) Always hold the product tight with both hands
during work. Make sure that you have a secure
footing.

Safety instructions for hedge
trimmers
a) Keep all body parts away from the blade. Do not
attempt to remove cuttings or hold material to
be cut while the blade is running. The blades
continue to move after the switch is turned off. A
moment of carelessness when using the hedge
trimmer can result in serious injury.
b) Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the
blades stationary and take care not to operate
the switch. Carrying the hedge trimmer correctly
reduces the risk of accidental operation and injuries
from the blade.
c) Always put the cover over the blade when trans-
porting or storing the hedge trimmer. Handling
the hedge trimmer correctly reduces the risk of inju-
ry from the blade.
d) Make sure all switches are off and the battery is
removed before removing trapped clippings or
servicing the product. Unexpected operation of
the hedge trimmer when removing trapped material
can cause serious injury.
e) Hold the hedge trimmer only by the insulated
gripping surfaces, as the cutting blade could hit
hidden power lines or its own mains cable. Con-
tact between the blade and a live power line can al-
so electrify metal device parts and lead to an elec-
tric shock.
f) Keep any mains cables away from the cutting
area. Wires may be hidden in hedges and bushes
and could be accidentally cut by the blade.
g) Do not use the hedge trimmer in bad weather,
especially if there is a risk of thunderstorms.
This reduces the risk of being struck by lightning.

Additional safety instructions

protection, sturdy shoes and long trousers when
working with this product.
b) The hedge trimmer is intended for work where the
operator stands on the ground and not on a ladder
or other unstable standing surface.

d) Do not attempt to loosen a jammed/blocked cutter
bar until you have switched off the product and re-
moved the battery. There is a danger of injury!
e) The blades must be checked regularly for wear and
have them resharpened. Blunt blades overload the
product. Any resulting damage is not covered by the

uct, first finish the current operation and then switch
off the product.
g) Store idle power tools out of the reach of chil-

Safety warnings for pole-
mounted pruner
5.3.1
a) Keep all body parts away from the saw chain
when the saw is running. Before starting the
pruning saw, ensure that the saw chain is not
touching anything. When working with a chain-
saw, a moment of carelessness can result in cloth-
ing or body parts being caught by the saw chain.
b) Always hold the chainsaw with your right hand
on the rear handle and your left hand on the
front handle. Holding the chainsaw using the oppo-
site grip increases the risk of injuries and shall be
avoided at all times.
c) Only hold the chainsaw by the insulated grip-
ping surfaces, as the saw chain could hit hidden
power lines or its own mains cable. Contact be-
tween the saw chain and a live power line can also
electrify metal device parts and lead to an electric
shock.
d) Wear eye protection. Further protective equip-
ment for hearing, head, hands, legs and feet is
recommended. Suitable protective clothing reduc-
es the risk of injury from flying chips and accidental
contact with the saw chain.
e) Do not work with the chainsaw in a tree, on a
ladder, or from a roof or an unstable standing
surface. There is a serious risk of injury if operated
in such a manner.
f) Always make sure you have a firm footing and
only use the chainsaw when standing on firm,
safe and level ground. Slippery ground or unstable
standing surfaces can cause loss of balance or loss
of control of the chainsaw.
g) When cutting a branch that is under tension, ex-
pect it to spring back. If the tension in the wood fi-
bres is released, the tensioned branch can hit the
operator and/or wrest the chainsaw from control.
