Safety Precautions
WARNING: Read and understand all safety instructions
included in this manual. Failure to follow these
instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or
serious injury.
SHOCK HAZARD: Do not open electrical enclosures.
Voltage hazards and/or damage to circuits may result.
Power: This fan requires a single-phase AC source from
90V
– 250V
, 50/60Hz. Connection to a power source with
AC
AC
voltage outside of this range can result in serious injury and
damage to the tool.
Grounding: A grounded outlet is required for safety and
EMI concerns. Never remove the third prong or modify the
plug in any way. Extension cords must comply with
grounding requirements.
Water Exposure: The fan is rated IP64 (OK for rain). Do not
submerge or use high pressure jets to clean. The batteries
are not rated IP64 and the manufacturers suggest keeping
batteries dry.
Cord Protection: Inspect the supplied AC cord adapter
before each use.
Extension Cords: When using an extension cord, make
sure the extension cord is suitable for the amperage of the
tool. Use of an improper extension cord could result in a
risk of fire and electric shock. If in doubt, use the next
heavier gauge cord.

Storage-Maintenance: When not in use, store fan in a
secure and dry location. If lithium batteries are attached
while in storage, DO NOT place along with gasoline or other
combustible materials. Unplug batteries and AC cord when
changing accessories, or when performing any
maintenance.
Personal Safety: Wear hearing and eye protection if
remaining within 1m/3ft of fan during operation. Keep body

parts and loose materials away from fan. Do not move the
fan while it is running.
Hazardous atmosphere: Do not use in or near a
potentially explosive atmosphere.
Repair and Replacement: Service must be by a qualified
repair technician authorized by Euramco Safety using only
original OEM replacement parts. Replace batteries that are
not charging fully or after the battery manufacturer's
warranty has expired.
Safety Check: After maintenance or repair, check the fan
for proper operation and stability while operating.
Tool Overview
Model EX50Li-40V
DC
powered by Makita 40V max XGT® 8.0 Ah batteries; used by
professional firefighters and utility workers, to remove heat,
toxic gas, smoke and vapors from enclosed structures,
vaults, underground tunnels, or attic and basement spaces.
The multi-position design, points down, up, or horizontal
with -6° to +34° tilt control. Air volume is sufficient to clear
the air, reduce contaminants and oxygenate enclosed
spaces in minutes.
Rated IP64, the blower can operate in inclement weather.
The welded cage-like frame protects the control and fan
from inadvertent drops and falls. A simple control interface
controls power, speed, and LED scene lights with two multi-
function knobs.
Primarily a Positive Pressure Blower for blowing into an
enclosed structure or space, the unit can, with accessories,
be configured for ducted airflow, to generate High
Expansion foam for fire suppression, or to create a mist for
rehabilitation of workers. An attached wheeled dolly with
extendable handle eases transport. Alternatively, remove
the dolly and carry the unit with an included carry strap.
Powered by two 40 V
AC power supply, the unit adapts to the job at hand. The
high-efficiency BLDC motor runs continuously within its
operating envelope of -4°F to 120°F, while beyond this
temperature the fan runs with auto temperature-
compensating speed adjustment.
Batteries and chargers are purchased separately. Batteries
are not IP64 and caution is advised.
