NOTE: When connected to a phone and a two-way radio you
cannot control the audio playback unit from the headset.
NOTE: If you have an ongoing phone call, you will hear two
beeps for incoming calls on the two-way radio. To end the call
and switch to the incoming two-way radio call, short press (0.5
s) the Bluetooth button. Short press (0.5 s) the Bluetooth
button one more time to listen to the two-way radio or wait for
the next incoming two-way radio message.
NOTE: Streaming will be automatically paused when a phone
call or a two-way radio communication is in progress. After
ending the call / two-way radio communication, the streaming
will automatically start again.
8.7. 3M™ CONNECTED EQUIPMENT (APP)
Connect your headset with the "3M Connected Equipment"
mobile application supporting both Android™ and iOS. When
connected to the mobile application you will have access to
settings, configurations, user instruction etc.
NOTE: For more information go to the "App Store" or "Google
Play" and download the "3M Connected Equipment"
application. For support on the "3M Connected Equipment",
please see information in the mobile application.
8.8. MULTIFUNCTION BUTTON (M)
(Figure A and E)
The Multifunction button (M) located on the right earcup (see
figure A:3 and E:13) can be customized to be used for
different pre-defined features in the 3M Connected Equipment
app.
(Default: announces current time when pressed).

9.1. TO ENTER THE MENU

Answer
To enter the menu, short press (0.5 s) on the [+] and [-]
buttons simultaneously.
Use the Power button to navigate through the menu and the
[+] and [-] buttons to adjust the settings.
After 10 seconds of inactivity, the headset will exit the menu.

9.2. BLUETOOTH PAIRING

When the voice message says "Bluetooth pairing", short

press (0.5 s) the [+] button to start pairing. A voice message
phone/headset
will confirm, "Bluetooth pairing on". Search and select "WS
ALERT XPV" on your Bluetooth device. A voice message
will confirm when pairing is complete, "pairing complete"
and "connected".
Short press (0.5 s) the [+] button to cancel the pairing. A
voice message will confirm, "Bluetooth pairing off".
9.3. STREAMING PROFILES
Select between two different streaming profiles for music or
podcast.

Short press (0.5 s) the [+] or [-] button to change the
streaming profile.
9.4. BLUETOOTH SIDE TONE VOLUME
Sidetone is audible feedback to the headset user during a
conversation. Short press (0.5 s) the [-] or [ + ] button to
change the sidetone.
Options:
• High
• Normal (default)
• Low
• Off
9.5. MICROPHONE
This menu is used to set the current installed microphone.
Short press (0.5 s) the [-] or [ + ] button to change the
microphone model.
