Making longitudinal cuts

Always use the parallel guide when making such cuts.
After turning on the machine and waiting for the cutting blade to

reach its working speed, place the element to be cut on the
worktop and then slowly push it by hand along the parallel guide
towards the blade, but not further than into the blade guard.
Use the attached pusher or - especially for small parts - a special

handle to cut the remains of the element (see the picture below):
