Pulse signal:
The authorisation is released or terminated by
briefly activating the release input of the switching
contact. To change the setting from continuous sig-
nal to pulse signal, the configuration tool is re-
quired.

Electrical connection of the switching contact
ATTENTION
Material damage due to improper installation
Improper installation of the switching contact can
damage the product or lead to malfunctions. Ob-
serve the following requirements during the install-
ation:
u Select suitable cable routing to avoid interfer-
ence.

u Install external switching contact.
u Strip the cable.
u Strip the conductors 7 mm.
u Connect the conductors to the plug connector
(included in the scope of delivery).
u Insert the plug connector into XG1.
u Comply with the connection data for the enable
input.

Configuration
u Set DIP switch 3 on bank S1 to "ON".
If a switching contact with pulse signal has been in-
stalled, an additional setting is required in the con-
figuration tool.

6.3
Switching on the product
The tasks described in this section may only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Requirement(s):
ü Product is installed correctly.
ü Product is not damaged.
ü The necessary protective devices are installed
in the upstream electrical installation in compli-
ance with the relevant national regulations.

ü During the initial setting-up process, the product
was inspected in accordance with IEC 60364-6
and the applicable national regulations (e.g. in
Germany: DIN VDE 0100-600).
