► Position the scale at a suitable location with little passing traffic.
Mount the ramps supplied on the intended sides (except next to
the wall) so no-one can trip over them.

The patient handling aid might get caught in gaps and the patient
could fall out of the patient handling aid.
► Make sure that the area for setup is clean and level.
► When setting up the device, follow the installation instructions and
ensure the smallest possible offsets and gaps between the weigh-
ing platform and the ramps and between the ramps and the floor.

Faulty measurement
► Keep a sufficient distance from walls or objects to avoid faulty mea-
surements. The weighing platform, the guardrail and the handrail (if
present) should not touch anything else. Do not press the scale
against the wall.

Weighing platform bends under loading
► Place the weighing platform on level ground. Under loading, the
weighing platform must maintain a sufficient distance from the
ground.
► Make sure that no elevations are larger than 4.5 mm at the lowest
foot setting on the ground.
