Taring additional weight (Tare)
► Press the ON/OFF button to switch the device back on again.
► Press the ON/OFF button (press and hold).
ð The device switches off.
CAUTION!
Injury from falling
Persons with limited mobility may fall when stepping onto the weighing
platform.
► Support people with limited mobility when they step onto the scale.
1. Make sure that there is no load on the weighing platform.
2. Ask the patient to step onto the weighing platform.
With non-mobile patients: Move the patient onto the weighing platform with
a suitable patient handling aid.
3. Ask the patient to stand still or remain seated.
4. Read off the measuring result.

CAUTION!
Faulty measurement as a result of force shunt
If an additional weight is touching the surface on which the device is
standing, the weight will not be measured correctly.
► Make sure that additional weights are placed only on the weighing
platform.
