Extension Cords
If an extension cord is used, the cross sectional
area of its conductors must meet the following
minimum requirements – depending on the line
voltage and length of the extension cord:

► If your charging management has a malfunc‐
tion or is damaged or requires servicing: Con‐
tact your STIHL authorized dealer.
► If the connecting cable is faulty or damaged:
Replace the connecting cable.
Cause
There is a short-term
malfunction in the
charging manage‐
ment, which may be
caused by excessively
high temperatures
and/or frequency or
voltage fluctuations.
The charging manage‐
ment has switched off
the power outlets.
There is a malfunction
in the charging
management.
If rated voltage on the rating label is 220V to
240V:
– Cord length up to 20 m: AWG 15 / 1.5 mm²
– Cord length 20 m up to 50 m: AWG 13 /
2.5 mm²
If rated voltage on the rating label is 100V to
127V:
– Cord length up to 10 m: AWG 14 / 2.0 mm²
– Cord length 10 m up to 30 m: AWG 12 /
3.5 mm²

Permissible temperature range for use and stor‐
age:
– Operating temperature: 0°C up to 50°C
– Storage temperature: - 20 °C to + 70 °C

Remedy
► Wait until the short-term malfunction has
resolved itself.
► Wait for about 5 minutes.
The power outlets are then automati‐
cally switched on again.
► If one or more power outlets remain
switched off:
► Remove the plugs from these power
outlets.
► Wait until the power outlets are auto‐
matically switched on again.
The switch-off time for these power
outlets can be considerably longer.
► Disconnect the mains plug from the
socket.
► Wait for 30 seconds.
► Insert the mains plug in a power outlet.
► If the LED continues to light up red: Do
not use the charging management and
consult a STIHL authorized dealer.
