MAINTENANCE AND DIAGNOSIS OF FAILURES
1
MAINTENANCE
This actuator does not require any special care. However, it is necessary to carry out the following checks every 6
months:
Before
carrying
out
operation, disconnect the device from the
power supply.
1 Frequently check the installation in order to discover
any imbalance or sign of deterioration or wear. Do
not use the device if any repair or adjustment is
necessary.
2
FAILURE DIAGNOSIS
Problem
The actuator does not make
a n y m o v e m e n t w h e n t h e
opening or closing controls are
activated
Defective actuator operation
The door does not close
The door cannot completely
close (or open)
Strong noise during operation
The actuator works when
pressing the wall button or
control panel buttons, but not
when activating the remote
control
3
SCRAP
The actuator, up until the end of its useful life,
must be dismounted at its location by an
installer who is as well qualified as the person
who completed the assembly, observing the
same precautions and safety measures. In this
manner we will avoid possible accidents and
damage to adjacent facilities.
any
maintenance
Cause
Absence of system power supply
voltage
Defective electrical installation
The programming has changed due to
strong environmental disturbances
(voltage alterations, magnetic fields,
etc)
The photocell circuit is open
The resistance of the door has increased
when closing (or when opening)
The force of the actuator during closing
(or opening) is too low
The assembly or length of the arms is
inappropriate
Chain not taut
The track, attachments or actuator are
poorly fixed or assembled
The remote control radio code is not
recorded in the actuator
The remote control batteries are flat
2 Clean and lubricate the articulations and tracks of
the installation, so as not to increase the effort of
the actuator.
3 Check that the controls and photocells, as well as
their installation, have not suffered any damage
from the weather or external agents.
4 Check unlocking can be carried out easily.
Solution
Re-establish the power supply
Check that the installation does
not present any short-circuits or
cut-off points
Programme the actuator again
Check the circuit
Check the moving parts of the
door and remove the resistance
Using programming, increase the
opening or closing force
Check the length and assembly of
the arms after closing the door
Tighten the chain properly
C h e c k
installation levels
Correctly record the radio code
Replace the batteries
}
The actuator must be deposited in the appropriate
containers for subsequent recycling, separating and
classifying the different materials in line with their
nature. NEVER deposit it in domestic rubbish or in
landfills which are not suitably controlled, as this will
cause environmental contamination.
