10. BICYCLE ADJUSTMENT

HANDLEBAR, STEM AND HEADSET
It is suggested to check head parts regulary.
The handlebar must turn freely being sure front fork is properly
assembled into handlerbar stem.
To check head parts that are properly assembled, use the front brake
lever to stop the front wheel. Hold firmly the handlebar and make short
movements front and back. It should not realise any movement in the
head part.
In case of looseness it is recomended to bring the bicycle to the
especialized point for adjustment of it,
Check regulary the handlebar and the stem to find wear signs and
tiredness. Change the components of the bicycle before riding in case
of posible wear signs.
Check the properly assembled of screws. Check if the components are
correctly assembled.
BACK AND FRONT WHEEL AND TIRES
Disassembly of the back wheel
1. Turn the rear derailleur to the back part of the wheel. Assemble the
wheel with the rear fork leaving the freewheels and the chain in the
same side.
2. Place the chain in the smaller freewheel.
3. Place the axle in the rear fork.
4. Place the right side axle in the frame and tighten the quick release.
5. The quick reléase have no effect on the other parts of the bicycle.
6. Assemble again the brake shoes if is neccesary. Check the proper
adjustment of the rear brake.
