10. BICYCLE ADJUSTMENT
OPERATING OF SHIFTER LEVER AND DERAILLEUR
The rear derailleur gives a more effective effort of pedal power.
Decrease the speed when is necessary to put too much effort on pedal
means. If the riding it's too easy, increase the speed.
There are shifter lever and derailleur. The right lever controls the rear
lever. The left lever controls the derailleur.
To change the speed: only reduce the riding speed during the ride.
Rear derailleur
With the right lever you can control the rear derailleur.
Derailleur
With the left lever you can control front derailleur movement to change
the chain between the chainwheels. To action the front derailleur, chain
must be in movement.
Ajustes del desviador
Change to higher or lower speed:
1. Move the rear wheel with the pedals placing front derailluer lever to
the front position.
2. Keep moving the wheel with the pedals and adjusting the screw until
chain position is centred with the smallest chainwheel.
3. Loosen the screw fastening cable.
4. Strech the end of the cable and tighten the bolt to hold it.
5. Moving the rear wheel with the pedals, place front derailleur lever
backwards. Chain should be moved to the bigest chainwheel.
6. Front derailleur should move chain between chainwheels properly.
