• Wear gloves when unboxing.
• Do not use cutter, knife, saw or any other similar tool for unboxing.
• Carry the tool only by the handle (2).
• Keep the box for further reuse (transport and storage).
• Keep instruction manual in a dry area for further consultation.
4.2 INSTALLATION
Attaching the guard: illustration 2.1
Turn trimmer head 14 upside down.
Align and place the guard 10 to the trimmer head 14.
Secure the guard 10 with four screws.
Adjusting the auxiliary handle: illustration 2.2
Loosen the knob and slide the auxiliary handle 11 up or downward to adjust the height to fi t the intended
application.
Tighten the knob in the adjusted position. Ensure that the tooth system locks in place.
NOTE:Ensure the connection is properly secured. Tighten the knob so far until there is not gap between
the handle and handle support.
While operating: illustration 3.1
Wear safety glasses.
Wear protective gloves.
Wear safety boots.
Wear ear protection.
Wear protective overalls.
Tilt adjustment: illustration 3.2
Adjust the angle of the trimmer head 14 to fi t the ground conditions.
Press the unlock button 9 and hold it in position.
Move the pole 8 slightly up or downward.
Release the unlock button 9 and keep moving the pole 8 until it locks in place.
WARNING! Always ensure that the unlock button snaps into place after adjusting the trimmer in one of
the three indicated positions! Never adjust to an intermediate position!
Length adjustment: illustration 3.3
Adjust the pole length to fi t your body height.
Loosen the locking sleeve 7 clockwise.
Pull the pole 8 out or push it together to adjust the desired length.
Tighten the locking sleeve 7 counter clockwise.
Installing/Removing the battery pack : illustration 3.4
WARNING : Make sure the latch on the bottom of the battery pack snaps in place and the battery pack is
fully seated and secure in the product's battery docking port before beginning operation.
Failure to securely seat the battery pack could cause the battery pack to fall out, resulting in serious
personal injury.
To install : To attach, align and slide the battery pack onto the slots of the battery docking port until it
locks in place.
To remove : To release, press the battery unlock button and remove the battery pack from the product.
