8.1 CLEANING

Keep all safety devices, air vents, and motor housing free of debris and dirt. Wipe down the equipment
with a cloth and/or compressed air. It is highly suggested that you clean the device after every use.
Do not use cleaning agents, as these can attack the plastic and weaken the structural integrity of the
grass trimmer.
8.2 REPLACEMENT
Refi ll the trimming line : Illustration 5.4 a
Turn the product upside down to access the trimming line. Hold the trimmer head 14 steady with one
hand. Press the release latches 14b on both sides to remove the trimmer head's cover. Remove the spool.
Discard all the remaining line14d from the spool. Clean the housing 14e and the spool. Cut a new 5 m
long trimming line with a diameter of 1.2 mm. Lead one end of the new trimming line 14d through the
small eyelet on the spool in direction of the arrows. Make a knot and pull the trimming line then bend it
over. Wind all the trimming line fi rmly around the spool in direction of the arrows on the spool. Pull the
line from the new spool for a length of approximately 13 cm. Lead the trimming line 14d through the
notches. Lead the trimming line 14d ending through the eyelet 14f of the housing. Insert the spool into
the housing. Twist the spool until it locks into place. Replace the cover 14a and make sure it snaps into
place.

Replace the line spool when it is empty or worn.
Turn the product upside down to access the trimming line. Hold the trimmer head 14 steady with one
hand.Press the release latches 14b on both sides to remove the cover 14a. Clean the housing 14e before
inserting a new spool 14c of the same type. Pull the line from the new spool for a length of approximately
13 cm. Lead the trimming line 14d through the notches. Lead the trimming line 14d ending through
the eyelet 14f of the housing. Insert the spool into the housing. Twist the spool until it locks into place.
Replace the cover 14a and make sure it snaps into place.
